Carpet & upholstery cleaning
Commercial carpet gets replaced years before it needs to be, because nobody costed the alternative. Scheduled extraction cleaning, done overnight, keeps it serviceable for years longer and costs a fraction of a refit — and the difference shows first in entrances and circulation routes, which is exactly where visitors form an opinion.

Common questions
- How long does carpet take to dry?
- Low-moisture systems are walk-on within an hour or two; hot water extraction takes longer and is better suited to a Friday night than a Monday. Which one we use depends on the fibre, the soiling and how soon you need the room back — that is a decision at survey, not a preference.
- How often should commercial carpet be cleaned?
- Entrances and main routes take the majority of the wear and usually want quarterly attention; general office areas are commonly annual or twice yearly. The economic argument is simple — soil is abrasive, and abrasion is what actually ends a carpet's life.
- Why does wool need different treatment?
- Wool is alkaline-sensitive, so the wrong chemistry damages the fibre and the colour permanently. WoolSafe approval exists precisely because that damage is invisible until it is done.
- Can you get chewing gum out?
- Yes, with freezing and solvent methods rather than scraping, which is what leaves the mark people remember.
- Will the stains come back?
- Wicking — where residue in the backing rises as the carpet dries — is the usual cause when they do. Correct extraction and rinse reduces it; over-wetting causes it. It is a technique problem, not a mystery.
- Can you clean office chairs?
- Yes, and it is often the item that most changes how a floor looks. Fabric chairs absorb far more than people expect, and cleaning them is quick compared with replacing them.
