Waste management & clearance

Waste is where duty of care usually goes wrong — not because anyone fly-tipped, but because nobody kept the paperwork. Regency collects, clears and disposes of commercial waste with the transfer notes to prove where it went, which is the part that matters when somebody asks two years later.

What the contract covers

  • Commercial waste collection on schedule or on call
  • Full house, office and site clearances
  • Bulk uplifts and single-item removals
  • Segregation for recycling and diversion from landfill
  • Licensed carrier, full duty-of-care documentation
  • Reporting on tonnage and diversion rates
  • Integration with cleaning contracts so bins are not somebody else's job

Who we do this for

  • Local authorities
  • Housing providers
  • Commercial and industrial sites
  • Construction and refurbishment

Common questions

What is duty of care and why should I care?
As the waste producer, the legal responsibility for what happens to your waste stays with you — passing it to a carrier does not pass on the liability. If it is fly-tipped, the trail leads back to you. Transfer notes are the evidence that you discharged it properly.
How do I check a waste carrier is legitimate?
Ask for the registration number and check it on the SEPA register. It takes two minutes, it is public, and the operators worth worrying about are the ones who hesitate.
Can you report on recycling rates?
Yes. Tonnage and diversion reporting matters increasingly for public sector clients and for anyone with environmental reporting of their own to file.
Do you do full site clearances?
Yes — houses, offices and sites, including properties in poor condition. Clearance is priced on volume and access, so a first-floor flat with no lift is not the same job as a warehouse with a loading bay.
Can you provide the bins?
Yes, sized and scheduled to what you actually produce. Over-sized bins on too-frequent a collection are the most common way commercial waste is overpaid for.
What about confidential waste?
It needs a separate stream with certificates of destruction. Putting it in general waste is a data protection problem rather than a waste problem, and the fines are correspondingly different.

A site survey costs nothing and takes about twenty minutes. You will speak to the person who would run your contract, not a call centre.
