Needle sweeps & drug-related clean-ups
Discarded needles in a stairwell or a back court are a real risk to residents, children and staff, and properties used for drugs need more than a normal clean before anyone can live or work in them again. Regency carries out needle sweeps and drug-related clean-ups for housing providers, councils and police across Scotland, including cannabis farm strip-outs, with proper sharps handling and licensed disposal.

Common questions
- How do you dispose of needles?
- Sharps are collected with proper handling procedures into approved sharps containers and disposed of through licensed clinical waste routes, with the paperwork to show it.
- What is involved in a cannabis farm clean-up?
- Removing growing equipment, lighting, ducting, growing medium and anything contaminated, then dealing with what the growing left behind: damp, mould, damaged surfaces and sometimes interfered wiring. The property is then deep cleaned so the landlord can assess repairs. Police release the property to the owner before we start.
- Can you do regular sweeps?
- Yes. Where a site has a recurring problem, scheduled needle sweeps keep it under control and give the housing provider a record of what was found and when.
- Do you report what you find?
- Yes. Each sweep or clean-up can be reported with what was recovered, where and when, which helps housing officers and community safety teams target the problem.

A site survey costs nothing and takes about twenty minutes. You will speak to the person who would run your contract, not a call centre.
