Pest control

For food premises and public buildings, pest control is an audit item as much as a nuisance — an inspector will ask to see the reporting before they ask whether you have a problem. Regency runs contract and reactive pest control with documentation written for that conversation.

What the contract covers

  • Rodent, insect and bird control
  • Contract monitoring with scheduled visits, or one-off call-out
  • Bait station mapping and audit-ready reporting
  • Proofing works to stop reinfestation
  • Bird deterrent and fouling clean-down
  • Integrated with cleaning and waste contracts where you hold both
  • Advice on the housekeeping causes, not just the symptoms

Who we do this for

  • Food and hospitality
  • Public buildings
  • Housing and commercial premises
  • Warehousing

Common questions

Contract or call-out — which do I need?
If you handle food, store stock or answer to an auditor, a contract: the value is the record of scheduled visits, not the visits themselves. For a one-off problem in an office, a call-out is usually the right answer.
Why does proofing matter more than baiting?
Because baiting deals with the animals that are already inside and proofing deals with why they got in. Treating without proofing produces a contract that runs for years and never finishes.
What causes most infestations in commercial premises?
Waste handling and housekeeping, nearly always — bin areas, spillages behind equipment, and doors propped open. It is why holding pest control and cleaning with one contractor tends to work better: the same account manager sees both halves of the problem.
Will an inspector accept your reporting?
That is what it is written for — station mapping, visit records, findings and actions, in a form a food safety or housing inspector can read without translation.
Are the treatments safe around food and people?
Yes, when applied correctly — products, placement and timing are chosen for the setting, and treatment in food premises is scheduled around production rather than dropped into the middle of it.
How long does it take to clear an infestation?
Rodents typically a few weeks of monitored treatment; insects vary enormously by species and life cycle. Anyone promising a single visit is selling a visit rather than a result.

A site survey costs nothing and takes about twenty minutes. You will speak to the person who would run your contract, not a call centre.
